Contest Rules

Contest League Rules:

1. How to Play: All you have to do is set a lineup each week using TWO different NFL teams. You can pick whatever two teams you want. The twist to this league is you can only use each team once all season. 
2. Players: 17 players or more.
3. Team Positions: We will use “Team Positions” for each roster spot which means you will score points from everyone who plays that position for the team you chose. So you don’t have to worry about injuries or who’s actually starting. If you start “Denver TeamQBs” you will get points for whoever plays QB for Denver that week.
4. Starting Roster: You’ll start a Team QB, Team RB, Team WR, Team TE and Team DEF for both of your picks. 10 roster spots overall (see sample below).  
5. Forgotten Lineups: If you forget to set a lineup by Sunday afternoon I will put in the your first available teams alphabetically. (unless you have the Sunday Night/Monday Night teams available). Basically, let me know if you forgot but you can’t go back to what you “meant to start” It’s later games or alphabetical.
6. How to win: We will do a survivor style format where the lowest scoring team each week will be eliminated from the league until we have one player left, our winner.
7. How to win Part 2: We will also pay the person who ends the season with the most overall points. So if you are eliminated from the “Survivor” pool you can keep submitting and play for the “Total Points” money.
8. And NOTE: Once you’re eliminated from the main pool you will no longer have to start full teams. You can start whatever combination of players from whatever teams you want. You can still only start them each once. 
9. Cost: $68. $3 of the fee goes towards paying for the site we use (myfantasyleague.com).
10. Payouts: If full, the last man standing, aka the “Survivor” winner will win $603 and the “Total Points Winner will win $502. 
11. Scoring: (see below) These scores will be HUGE. There are a lot of points for long TDs, and yardage milestones so the scoring could swing wildly based off of one play. MAKE SURE you look it over. 
12. Game Play: If this pool fills, we will play for 16 weeks and you will have to use every NFL team once to win. That’s more fun, so invite friends!
13. Ties for Last: If there is a tie for last both/all teams will survive and we will eliminate two the next week! BUT, one of the tied teams will be one of the eliminations the following week. Basically, the lowest scoring of the tied teams the next week will be eliminated, along with whoever is actually the lowest. If one of the “tied” ends up lowest the next week, they will be eliminated along with whoever is 2nd lowest out of everyone.
14. If there is a tie in the finals “Total Season Points” will determine the winner.  
15. Site Used: It will be run on MyFantasyLeague.com and I will send you an invite to the league. They also have an app – MFL Platinum. 
16. Mistakes: If anything was incorrectly set up adjustments will be made.

Strategy Tip: Choosing when to start each team and making sure you have teams available for the bye weeks will be the key to victory in this league. Do you use the crappy teams early while the pool is still large? Do you save the best teams for the finals? Do you try the “one good team with one bad team” matchup? Remember, until the final week you just have beat once team to advance. As for the total points race, playing teams when they have long TDs will be the key to scoring the most points.
