Week 16 Results – Finals!
Lee, the man who drafted an all on a bye in the first week team, is our winner! Congrats to him.
Which means the WangAdon team has to settle for runner-ups. Which actually pays well so no shame in that…
Week 15 Results
Jonathan Taylor was the most expensive $3 spend in faab history. A lot of different ways that money could have been spent. He could have just kept Kittle who finally had a big week. Even better might have been a $2 bid on Mahomes to block WangAdon from getting him and his 39.74 pts. But they also had Cincy QBs and their 33.3 on their bench so maybe that wouldn’t have helped. At least Adrian didn’t start Zeke instead of Taylor, since had he done that he would have lost by .04 pts which would have been more brutal. But this one was really close so it sucks to have it come down to an injury on the 2nd play of the game, but that’s how this goes, so we now say goodbye to Adrian who’s headed to the chopping block…
Adrian won $1,000 for third place.
WangAdon gets a very important $5 faab bonus.
Adrian’s players up for grabs:

Week 14 Results
Diggs, Waddle, Andrews and the Cowboys DEF combined scored less than Evan Engram. Right now it’s now about who you have, but who you start, and Yang had some ballers who just didn’t bring it this week. At least he didn’t start Tua! So he’s the money bubble boy and he’s off to the chopping block…
Editor’s note: That hat was not photoshopped on by me, the pic was found on Yang’s Facebook.
Adrian won $400 for the high score.
Lee wins the $5 faab bonus.
Yang’s players up for grabs:
- QBs – Chiefs, Dolphins

Week 12 Results
He had a shot. He had two teams below him going into Monday night and he had two RBs to sweat and in the end those two previously underperforming RBs outperformed his high priced even more underperforming RB and that made the difference. Sadly, had he started any of the three RBs on his bench instead of McCaffrey that would have been enough to make the difference, but it’s hard to bench potential so Drew Goddard heads to the chopping block…
WangAdon won $275 for the high score.
Sal wins the $5 faab bonus.
Drew’s Players up for grabs:
- QBs – Chiefs

Week 11 Results
In two leagues the two teams that lost this week have one thing in common – Lamar Jackson. He’s just not the high point scorer we all thought he was. He ain’t no Dak Prescott who is available on waivers. Speaking of Dallas, their DEF performance for Josue pretty much made up for what they did to Justin Jefferson, but those Najee Harris points on the bench are going to sting a little, but not as much as the pain from getting yer head chopped off…
WangAdon won $225 for the high score.
Lee wins the $5 faab bonus.
Josue Players up for grabs:
- QBs – Ravens
- RBs – James Connor, Christian McCaffrey, Rhamondre Stevenson, Najee Harriss
- WRs – Justin Jefferson, Terry McLaurin, Keenan Allen, Ja’Marr Chase, DK Metcalk
- TEs – Cole Kmet
- DEF – Cowboys
Week 10 Results
They had the high score just two week ago but we can probably all blame AJ Brown since he was on two different teams that both got guillotined this week. Had the Eagles not given up 26 points to the WFT this would also be a different story, but the bar for elimination is getting higher and sub 100 probably won’t do it like it didn’t do it this week so we must say good bye and good riddance to Gabriel and Brendan…
Lee wins $200 for the high score this week.
Josue wins the extra $5 faab.
G&B’s Players up for grabs:
- QBs – Bucs, Ravens
- RBs – James Conner, Alvin Kamara, Cordarrelle Patterson, Ezekiel Elliot, Kyren Williams
- WRs – AJ Brown, Tyreek Hill, Tee Higgins
- TEs – Travis Kelce
- DEF – Eagles
Week 9 Results
You gots to be spending that faabs, bro. Lesson learned by Jon Schroeder this week, as he went out with a lot of faab while have some holes on his team. Having Kittle on a bye and Taylor dinged of course didn’t help. It wasn’t a horrible week for him, but two players scoring under 4 pts each will kill you, so we off with your head!
Sal wins $175 for the high score this week.
Lee wins the extra $5 faab.
Jon’s Players up for grabs:
- QBs – Bills
- RBs – Jonathan Taylor, James Conner, Khalil Herbert, Latavius Murray
- WRs – DeVonta Smith, Javien Waddle
- TEs – George Kittle, Zach Ertz, Gerald Everett
- DEF – Bengals, 49ers
Week 8 Results
You do not want to have any part in running this league. It’s a curse! As is playing anyone from the Broncos. He should have known. Sure, his bench could have saved him but he probably didn’t even notice that. And sure, Mark Andrews is a lousy football player all of a sudden, but on the bright side, NICK CHUBB is available. Sorry to say this, but we must say good bye and good riddance to the man who the league is named after, Herbie Gelman…
GabrielBrendan win $150 for the high score this week.
Sal wins the extra $5 faab.
Week 7 Results
His best player was on a bye, his 2nd best player was was also on a bye, his third best player was… not that good, and his TE is really a QB, but whatever the excuse is Jody is the next one up for the chopping block!
The WangAdon team wins $125 this week for having the high score.
Lee gets the $5 FAAB bonus for being the 2nd to last team.
Jody’s player for you to bid on:
- QBs – Browns, Eagles QB
- RBs – Ezekiel Elliot, Najee Harris, Darrell Henderson
- WRs – Justin Jefferson, Amari Cooper, Drake London, Robert Woods
- TEs – Taysom Hill, Tyler Higbee
- DEF – Pats
Week 6 Results
Tim Croston is the first victim of the guillotine. He is not happy about it.
Rules/Payouts
WHAT IS IS? A Survivor like contest where each week the lowest scoring team will be eliminated from the pool and all the players from that team will be dropped into waivers for the remaining teams to bid on the following week. It doesn’t matter if you score the most points in a given week, you just have to be the second worst team or better to survive. We will continue to lose one team each week until the end of week 17 when we will have one team left, our CHAMPION!
DRAFT: Through the site, via email. No clock on your pick but let us know if you’re not going to be able to pick for a long time.
SITE USED: MyFantasyLeague.com. They also have an app called “MFL Platinum”. It’s free and very helpful. Make sure you get the MFL Platinum version (black icon with red streak going through it).
PLAYERS: 12 total.
COST: $1,000 per player. Herbie will be collecting.
PRIZES:
SEASON: Week 6 through Week 17, when our winner will be crowned.
TRADES: There are no trades!
FAAB WAIVERS: The FAAB system for waivers means everyone will have to place blind bids on all locked players each night. The highest bids will win. Ties will be broken by waiver order (once you win a bid you move to the bottom). All teams will have $300 for FAAB. This will have to last all year. This is what this league is all about. Managing your FAAB budget. Use it early to stay alive, or save it to have an advantage later.
You can bid from zero to the amount you have left on any one player. You can also bid in increments of pennies through week 12. After week 12 we will round up or down to the nearest dollar and all bids must be in dollar increments.
WAIVER TIME: Players will be locked after the start of the Sunday morning games and stay locked until waivers run on WEDNESDAY NIGHT AT 11pm PACIFIC TIME. Make sure to get your picks in by then. Then waivers will run the rest of the nights at 11pm for all locked players (players dropped during the week are locked for one night). You can always bid from zero dollars to the max you have left on any one player. Players dropped will not be available until one night has passed. The last waivers each week is Saturday night at 11pm Pacific.
FREE AGENT PICKUPS: There will be NO Free Agent pickups . So make sure you win your bids!
Note: Players dropped will have to go through the FAAB process for one night (the night after they are dropped) before they become free agents. That’s why you didn’t win them when you thought you should have. Just wait one more night.
2ND TO LAST BONUS FAAB: Each week the team that scores the 2nd worst score will get a bonus 5 FAAB dollars!
TIES FOR LAST: If there is a tie for last, ties will be broken by “total bench points”.
STARTING LINEUP: 1 TEAM QB, 2 RBS, 3 WR/TEs, 1 FLEX (RB/WR/TE), 1 DEF. As you can see TE’s don’t have to be started. But they will score 1 ppr while other positions will score .5 ppr. And TEs will get a 3 pt bonus once they hit 80 yards while RBs and WRs need to hit 100 yards. QBs get a 3 pt bonus at 300 yards. With the WR/TE Flex you can start any combination of WRs or TEs so it can be all TEs if you want or all WRs or a mix, but you need at least 2 RBs and 3 WRs or TEs in your starting roster. The last flex can be a 3rd RB or a 4th WR/TE.
TEAM QB: You will roster and start Team QBs. That means you will get points for whoever plays QB for the team you started. So you won’t get crushed if the starting QB goes down in the 1st quarter. If you drafted “Kansas City Team QB” you have the rights to all the KC QBs. So no need to have backup QBs from the same team.
BENCH/IR: Only 4 bench spots and NO IR spots. So if your player is hurt you’ll have to deal with it.
