Kitchen Sink League
A league that takes a bunch of alternative fantasy football ideas and rules and combines them all into one, stupid league. It’s a combination of the best parts of redraft, faab, the dark web, guillotine, the movie “Howard the Duck”, vampire leagues, baby goats, special power leagues and the hottest night clubs in the city. DRAFT(S)
We will draft depending on how the commissioner wants to do it each year and that’s just how it is.
NOTE: Remember, there will be no waivers until after week 3 so make sure you have proper backups for all positions. Except Kickers since they can be swapped out at anytime.
Super Teams: So with Divisions of only 5 Teams and each division drafting from a separate player pool and because we’re using “Team Positions” you will have a Super Team. Or at least if you don’t screw it up you will.
ROSTERS
Team Positions: We will use “Team Positions” for all roster spots. This means instead of drafting any individual player you will technically be drafting all the players at that position from the team you drafted. And you will score points from whoever plays at that position during a game. So if you draft “Rams WRs” and start them you will get points for all Rams WRs that score points this game.
This means there will be 64 possible picks for each position which is each team repeated twice.
Here’s the positions you will be starting (10 total):
- 2 Team QBs
- 2 Team RBs
- 2 Team WR/TEs
- 1 Team WR/RB/TE Flex
- 2 Team DEF
- 1 Team Kicker
- 7 Bench Spots (will decrease during year)
There is no actual FLEX designation. But you basically have 5 players to start at RB, WR and TE. The only thing you must do is start 2 RBs. They rest can be either WR or TEs or an extra RB. So you technically can start 2 RBs and 3 WRs and no TEs, or 2 RBs and 3 TEs and no WRs, or 2 RBs and 2 WRs and 1 TE. So total of 5 between those positions, but 2 MUST be RB and 2 MUST be either WRs or TEs or a combination of those two.
Everyone will start with 7 bench players but the benches will decrease by 1 spot after weeks 3, 6, and 10, so you’ll end the year with 4 bench spots.
1 – 10
Schedule
Week 1 – Some players are picking who plays who this week. You will be starting the two teams you drafted. If you lose, you will steal one full team. No Powers in play this week.
Weeks 2-10 you will play everyone in your division twice and then a couple of teams in the other division once. The use of Special Powers will begin. LOSERS steal during these weeks (depending on Special Powers used). The schedule from weeks 2 through 5 will repeat for weeks 6 through 9.
Weeks 11- Fanduel Week – We will all be competing in a Fanduel Contest.
Week 12 – BestBall – The top 5 scores from the Best Ball competition will get a win this week and the bottom 5 scores will get a loss.
Week 13 – Pick the NFL Games, using the spreads. Top 5 highest correct picks get a win, bottom 5 get a loss.

Stealing Players
For the first 10 weeks losing players will steal from the winners, depending on the Special Powers in play. This is basically a forced trade you must do, and unless it’s specified by a Special Power you will steal a starter for starter and it must be the same position for same position. So QB for QB,

3 & 6
Trading/ Re-draft
There are NO TRADES allowed outside of the forced ones the losing teams must do.
There are also NO WAIVERS in the first 10 weeks of the season.
Your rosters will be basically locked until after the third game of the season when we will do a mini-redraft. This will happen again after week 6 and then in week 10 when will switch to FAAB for the remainder of the year.
There is an exception for Kickers which can be swapped out at any time! They will always be available as free agents.
So if you have a player that is wasting a spot on your bench you’ll have to wait until week 3 or 6 to drop them OR you can start them, lose your game and send them to your opponent in the Steal.
NOTE: If you lose 4 games in a row, you will swap full teams with the team that handed you your 4th loss. So beware.
So here’s how the Mini-Redrafts will work:
WEEK 3 – After week three everyone will HAVE to drop at least 6 players from their roster (you can drop more) by WEDNESDAY. Those players will go back into the player pool and both divisions will then run a combined mini-redrafts until their teams are full. It will be a snake draft and the worst overall team will go first, etc. Record, then Points will decide order. This will be done via email (unless people are available for a zoom) and will have to be done by Saturday of that week. The hope would be that everyone responds in a timely fashion.
Players drafted that play in the Thursday game can be inserted ONLY if they’re on your team prior to Thursday game time. And you’ll have to announce they’re playing.
Rosters will decrease by 1 so everyone’s bench will now drop to 6 spots.
Rosters will again lock, outside of kickers and stealing players, until after week 6 games.
WEEK 6 – After week six this will repeat again only this time you will drop a minimum of FIVE players.
Roster will decrease by 1 again so everyone’s bench will now drop to 5 spots.
Rosters will again lock, outside of kickers and stealing players, until after week 10 games.
Magic!
Special Powers
Refer to the recap section to see the list of the Special Powers, but the basic rule for Special Powers is everyone starts the season with 9 Special Powers that they will HAVE to use one week at a time between weeks 2 and 10. These powers might help or hurt you or not really change your outcome at all. You can use each once and you can not repeat any.
Everyone will have to email their picks by WEDNESDAY NIGHT at 10pm Pacific to commish@kitchensinkleague.com and I will post them on Thursday on this site. I will not look at the choices until after I have acted (if required) as the Rogue Team. If you fail to submit in time you will have to use the next available.
You will not know what Power your opponent has chosen until after everyone has chosen but you will always know what Powers they have left to use. I’ll keep a chart updated on this site. So by week 9 you will know exactly which Power everyone is about to use since everyone will only have one choice left. So spend some time thinking about when you want to use each.

How the Playoffs Work
Teams Making Playoffs: A total of 6 of the 10 Teams left will make the playoffs. The top 3 teams from each Division will make the playoffs. The best team from each division will get a bye in week 14 and the other two teams from each division will play each other in week 14.
No wildcard spots. No spots guaranteed to the team with the most points. Record is most important.
Playoffs will be determined by: 1) overall record, 2) head to head, 3) divisional record, 4) points.
Week 14 Matchups: The 2nd and 3rd best team in each Division will play each other for a chance to play the Divisional winner week 15. We will be doing an auction draft to fill rosters for this week BUT the twist is your roster will only have 3 players on it. It must be one QB, one RB and one WR/TE. Each Division will only have one of each player available to it, so there will be a separate auction for each division. You will have 69 dollars to use for bidding. You can use zero bids. If there’s a tie, the higher seeded team will break the first tie.
Week 15 Matchups: The players that advanced from week 14 will face the teams that won their division. Winners will advance to the Finals and losers will play in the Consolation Game. The goal this week is to score the most points, but you will be drafting a team for your opponent and they will draft for you. The team that had the by week will go first and picks will alternate. NOTE: Each NFL Team can be represented by only player in each matchup. So if you pick the Jets QB for your opponent, no other Jet can be picked by either team. Each team will start two at each position, including K. So two QBs, RBs, WR/TEs, Ks and two DEF.
There will be separate player pools and drafts for each divisional matchup.
Week 16 and Week 17 – The Finals/Consolation Game – The two winners from week 15 will play for 1st and 2nd and the two losers from week 15 will play for 3rd and 4th. All four teams are guaranteed money.
How The Finals Will Work – For week 16 the two players in the finals will redraft a full team. They will alternate picks (not a snake, they will just go back and forth). The team that was ranked higher coming into the playoffs will go first. In week 17 they will do this again, but the team that scored fewer points in week 16 will start. The two teams in the consolation game will also follow these same rules.
Any player that was used in week 16 can not be used again in week 17.
Scoring
Go big or go home.
Big points for big TDs. Bonus points for yardage milestones. TEs get 1ppr vs .5ppr for everyone else and TEs get a bonus at only 80 total yards. DEF can score huge with a shutout. So pay attention to the scores.
